What your birth chart can reveal

Your birth chart, also called a natal chart or astrological chart, is a snapshot of the sky at the exact moment you were born.

A date, a time, a place of birth: in a few seconds, your chart wheel takes shape. Free of charge.

But Astraema goes further than simply calculating planetary positions. It invites you to explore the links between the planets, to understand how they are organized, and to discover what gives your chart its own particular dynamic.

Your astrological summary: the key landmarks of your chart

What is your Sun sign, your Ascendant, your Moon sign? Which element prevails in your chart? Which polarity and which modality express themselves most strongly?

Astraema gathers this information in a clear summary you can read at a glance. You will find your three main signs, along with the polarity, element and modality that dominate your chart.

A first reading to discover the main trends of your chart before exploring the details.

Rulerships: who governs your chart?

In astrology, each planet rules one or more signs. When a planet sits in a sign ruled by another, a rulership link is created.

With Rulerships mode, Astraema lets you see these relationships directly on the chart wheel. You can follow the links between the planets and discover how their influences are organized in your chart.

Rulership loops: when planets answer each other

Some planets are connected by a chain of rulerships that eventually returns to its starting point. They then form a loop, a closed circuit that can shed light on some of your ways of thinking, reacting or facing difficulties.

Not every chart has rulership loops. When they exist, Astraema detects them automatically and shows them in the Dominants section, with no manual calculation.

Dominants: what sets the tone of your chart

Beyond the signs and the main trends, some planets hold a special place in the way your chart is organized.

In the Dominants section, Astraema presents your astrological signature: your chart ruler, your filter, your mode of expression and the governance of your chart.

You will also find any rulership loops there, detected automatically when they exist.

This information lets you explore the structure of your chart and the influences that play a central role in it.

Your Soul Mission: the Ishtar Key

What if your chart also carried the imprint of what your soul came here to experience?

The Ishtar Key, a method unique to Astraema, explores this dimension through a particular astrological point. It identifies your original seed, the fundamental vibration of your soul, and looks at how it seeks to express itself in your life.

An accurate birth time is essential for this calculation.

Your Life Mission: the axis of the lunar nodes

Your chart speaks not only of who you are, but also of the path you are invited to travel.

Through the lunar nodes, Astraema explores two complementary dimensions: the resources, habits and experiences symbolized by the South Node, and the direction of growth shown by the North Node.

Their placement in the signs and houses gives a personalized reading of this axis.

Several ways of looking at the same chart

A birth chart holds a great deal of information. You still need to be able to read it clearly.

Astraema offers different views: classic, karmic, focused on the angles… Each one highlights a particular dimension of your chart wheel, without cluttering it with unnecessary information.

You can also use focus to isolate a planet and look at its aspects and any retrograde motion. And to understand how they interact, you can select up to three objects at once.

That way, you stay in control of what you want to explore.

Tropical or sidereal: the zodiac of your choice

Astraema calculates your chart in the tropical zodiac, the most widely used in the West, or in the sidereal zodiac, using the Lahiri ayanamsa, the reference in Vedic astrology, or Fagan-Bradley, the reference in Western sidereal astrology.

A richer chart wheel: decans, dodecatemoria or Egyptian terms

For a finer reading of each sign, you can add a ring to your chart wheel: decans, which divide each sign into three, dodecatemoria, which divide it into twelve, or Egyptian terms, which share it among five planets. Whichever suits your practice.

And when time comes into play…

Your birth chart is a starting point, not a fixed picture of your journey.

With progressions, transits and Solar Returns, Astraema lets you explore the astrological cycles that accompany the different periods of your life.

Synastry, for its part, brings two charts together to examine how they correspond and where they create tension.

Up to three chart wheels can be layered on top of each other, to move from an individual reading to a fuller exploration of astrological interactions.

One chart, several levels of reading. And the freedom to explore at your own pace.
